Session Title

Building Urban Water Resilience 2030: A Smart Community Greywater Reuse Model

Session Overview

This session explores a smart and sustainable approach to managing urban water challenges through greywater recycling. It presents a community-level system that collects and treats wastewater from household sources such as bathrooms, kitchens, and washing machines using a multi-stage filtration process combined with sensor-based automation.

The model focuses on reducing freshwater demand, minimizing sewage discharge, and enabling efficient water reuse for non-potable applications like flushing and gardening. It also highlights the limitations of existing systems and demonstrates how a compact, low-cost, and scalable solution can be implemented in apartments and residential communities.

This approach supports urban water resilience and promotes sustainable living practices for future-ready communities.
