Swami Govindeshananda

Swami Govindeshananda is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order. After completing his professional degree, he was inspired by the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and joined the Chennai Sri Ramakrishna Math in 2015. He received his spiritual initiation from Srimad Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj and served as a Brahmachari at the Chennai Math for about three years. In 2018, he moved to the Order’s Headquarters at Belur Math, Howrah, where he underwent training in Brahmacharya and studied the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali Yoga, philosophy, psychology, and the lives and teachings of saints and seers. In 2021, he received his Brahmacharya Diksha from the then Sanga Guru, Srimad Swami Smaranananda ji Maharaj. After completing his training at the Headquarters, he returned to the Chennai Math the same year and has since been serving in the Ashrama’s central office, managing administration, legal, and estate matters. In 2025, he received his Sannyasa Diksha from his Guru and present Sanga Guru, Srimad Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj.
Enlightened Citizens
We will have a small guided meditation session. Spiritual thoughts will be shared to adapt ourselves to the fast changing world, maintain balance in both good and adverse situations, have peace & happiness. Some philosophical, psychological aspects about life, human mind, inter personal relationship, practice of virtues, will be shared. Teachings of Swami Vivekananda will be the basis for overall session.
